We joined Bespoke Lifestyles when they first started thirteen years ago.
We were looking for help to understand and navigate our way into self-management.
We also decided early on that we wanted the people that worked with our son to feel that they had a stable career not just a job, so we engaged Made to Measure to help us set up PAYG and run our payroll for the team.

I originally came to Bespoke Lifestyles for consulting to get prepared for the NDIS. They ran a number of workshops including how to find support workers and how to self-manage. Those workshops were terrific, especially in the early days, they already had so much experience trialing self-management and their consultants were really knowledgeable.

In the past a significant proportion of our son’s NDIS funding was being spent on service provider overheads.Yet we had a high turnover of support staff and no real additional level of service to warrant the charges.Several years ago, we heard of Made to Measure Services on Facebook and decided to transition to their third-party payroll service and engage support workers directly.
The initial leap was straightforward and painless as they were very helpful and provided plenty of handholding and advice on how to get started. From there it has been smooth sailing. The ongoing process is simple, and I don’t have to do much to make the fortnightly payroll happen. They provide a personal service and when I call there’s always someone that has the answers to any questions I have.

He made sure everything stayed on track. He also made sure everything was right when new NDIS plans came through and got straight onto it if any changes needed to be made. Before utilising Made to Measure for Plan Management, I was self-managing my son’s NDIS plan and finding it more and more stressful to manage and pay invoices. Made to Measure made it so much easier. Unlike larger organisations, they picked up immediately if invoicing needed to be queried which gave me peace of mind.

Bespoke Lifestyles worked with us for around six months to prepare for my brother’s NDIS funding application, which involved estimating budget requirements, planning and preparation. This was key for us and meant we had all the paperwork, evidence, reports, and questions ready for the meeting. Our consultant came with us for extra support which was great. Over time we found that transitioning over to plan management from self-management, and engaging our independent support workers as PAYG employees, freed up more time to focus on helping my brother achieve his goals rather than getting bogged down in the day to day running of things. We have been using Bespoke Lifestyles and Made to Measure for Support Coordination, Plan Management and Payroll. Our relationship began in 2013 prior to the transition to the NDIS.
It was a worrying time not knowing what to expect. Bespoke ran a number of workshops that helped us to feel it would all be ok. The workshops were so well organized, we just had to turn up and participate, ask any questions and be reassured they would be there to help us with any problems. I’d never experienced a service like them before. You’re never made to feel like a problem. There is so much understanding and support for the client.
We employ my daughter’s supports directly. Outsourcing the wages to Made to Measure has taken the biggest amount of stress away. Not having to worry about paying tax, working out superannuation and staying on top of employer requirements. I find it’s also reassuring for any of our new supports to know that they are being employed and payroll is being managed by an organisation. It provides them with a sense of security.
We engage Made to Measure as our plan managers. There have been occasions when they have found a way around things to make sure that my daughter is not out of pocket for items during times when the NDIA have had to rectify mistakes in the plan. These were things above and beyond what I would have expected.
